Spectral Characteristics of DC Short Glow Discharge Plasma With Grid Electrodes

The characteristics of post-cathode plasma maintained by a self-made DC short glow-discharge generator with grid electrodes were measured optical emission spectroscopy. discharge existed in an abnormal glow mode at voltage 250–400 V and helium pressure 3–15 Torr gap 3 mm. results indicate that the intensity distribution atom spectral lines space differs from post-anode space. temperature electron excitation reaches its peak 1500–3000K 5–6 mm cathode. difference distributions spaces is associated generation mechanism these cases.
